What is a Triangle? A triangle is a closed-figure and it is the smallest polygon having three sides.

    • A triangle has 3 sides. In the above Δ ABC 3 sides are AB, BC, and CA.
    • A triangle has 3 angles. In above Δ ABC 3 angles are ∠A, ∠B, ∠C.
    • A triangle has 3 vertices. In Δ ABC 3 vertices are A, B and C.

    What is Perimeter?

The Perimeter of a shape or a figure is the total length of its boundary. For simple geometric shapes it can be calculated by adding the lengths of all the sides.

What is Perimeter of a Triangle?

The perimeter of a triangle is defined as the total sum of the lengths of all its three sides.

    1. Step 1: Write the Dimension of Triangle. Suppose we have a triangle ABC with AB = 4 cm, BC = 5 cm and AC = 6 cm.
    2. Step 2: Use the perimeter formula. Perimeter = sum of all sides of a triangle.
    3. Step 3: Add the lengths together. Perimeter = 4 cm + 5 cm + 6 cm = 15 cm.

Therefore the perimeter of a Δ ABC is 15 cm.
